BLM Arizona Heritage Adventures... More to ROAR About!!!

Arizona is a land of many contrasts. Its public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Managment boast a rich diversity of geology, plants, wildlife, and cultural heritage that have awed visitors from the first Spanish explorers to present-day tourists. A rich tapestry of history has been woven across Arizona's public lands. The remains of a Spanish presidio or military fort still stand along the San Pedro River. Ghost towns, mining areas and historic ranches recall the era of boom towns and cattle drives. A sense of the Old West still lingers for all who visit these lands. Arizona public lands are truly a mansterpiece painted by ethnic diversity. Ancient people like the Anasazi and Hohokam, the early pioneers, the Buffalo Soldiers, European and Asian immigrants all left their mark on the 14.2 million acres of public land in Arizona. These multicultural ties illustrate the significant contributions all ethnic groups have made to the development of the Southwest. So come on and travel throughout Arizona's public land and rediscover your American roots... and more adventures than you can imagine.
